Well, I spent most of the afternoon reading Mac OS X technical documentation, and then working through my first Cocoa programming example.

So far it looks pretty good. Objective-C is completely unlike C++, but it’s rather like Smalltalk, which is good. The development environment might even convert me to using IDEs, as it puts a user-friendly wrapper around gcc and gdb. (Well, less user-hostile, at least.)

I think that’s enough nerdiness for a day off, anyway. Time for some fun.
