You know Neal Horsley, the extremist anti-abortion campaigner who posts lists of names and addresses of abortion doctors on the web, and crosses them off the list when they’re murdered?

Well, he was interviewed on Fox News Radio, where he casually mentioned that when he grew up on the farm in Georgia, his first girlfriend was a mule. Audio is available.

RedPill 1.4.2 is out. Adds Tiger compatibility. I haven’t upgraded to Tiger myself yet, so let me know if you find any problems…

I was quite amused by the guy who wrote saying he was trying to get the source code to work under Tiger, and confessed that he didn’t know any C and could I help him? Right, yeah, I’ll do that.

Also, yes, I know Tiger doesn’t include StuffIt. I didn’t pack it using StuffIt, I packed it as a bzipped disk image with welcome dialog, but the guys at info-mac apparently have a policy that all such things must be unpacked and repacked with StuffIt.

Source code is at info-mac too.

My first non-bugfix contribution to Linux has appeared in Debian unstable. It’s a data file of disclaimers for the fortune program.

I created it because at work, we’re required to put a paragraph-long legal notice in the login sequence of every machine, informing people that the machine must only be used by authorized individuals, may not be used for confidential material, etc etc.

So now I add fortune disclaimer to my .bashrc, so the disclaimer seems to finish off with something like “Cape does not enable wearer to fly”, or “If rash develops, discontinue use.”

Hey, if I have to look at the thing every time I log in, I may as well get a laugh out of its context.
