A while back I was talking to someone about fresh fruit, and I said that I couldn’t understand how people can eat grapefruit. The person I was talking to informed me that I had the wrong idea about grapefruit, and that in fact ruby red grapefruit was sweet and delicious.
I don’t remember who that person was, but in case he or she is reading, I’d just like to say:
YOU LIE. YOU LIE LIKE A DOG.
I went downstairs and raided the Häagen-Dazs, and I still have a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Time to try mouthwash. Ugh.

It wasn’t me, but I have to say, no skin, no pith. Not even a little bit. Which makes eating grapefruit a lot of work. And even then, I wouldn’t really call it sweet. Sour, yes. But I like sour.

It was a fruit cup, all prepared and skin and pith removed. I figured that was the most likely to be sweet and delicious, and I could try a raw one later if it worked out.
