We now have at least 4 different squirrels visiting us on a regular basis. I know this because I’ve seen all 4 in the garden at once. We put up a squirrel bungee with a corn cob on the end, and often one aboreal rodent will chow at the feed box while another gets some exercise. They occasionally chase each other, but they don’t seem to be too territorial yet; maybe later in the year?

So let me tell you about this house thing…

When we arrived in Austin at the end of October, we didn’t expect major problems finding a house. During our visit in April we had spent an afternoon with a real estate agent, and had seen a number of suitable houses. Sure enough, the first day we went house hunting, sara walked into a place and immediately thought “This is it.” We went back when I had finished work, and I agreed.

As sara was in the pharmacy yesterday around 11, I sat in the car and scanned for interesting FM stations. I soon found 89.1 FM, which is supposed to be KEOS. There was something interesting being broadcast. It sounded like a CD was skipping endlessly. I sat and listened to it for a while, in case it turned out to be something by Oval or Pan sonic, but no, it was some kind of equipment glitch.
