Clinically shown to induce distrust

There’s a new service out there called PayPerPost. Basically, you get paid for posting ads in your online journal. So far, so ho-hum. One thing that makes this one a bit different is that the ads aren’t separated into their own section alongside your postings, like Google AdWords; rather, the postings themselves are the ads. Furthermore, buyers get to dictate the wording of the links. In addition, the question of disclosure is left entirely open.

Social activity

The morning was dull and grey, and I spent most of it in bed with the ThinkPad. Had some lunch, then met up with annthrope for coffee at Diesel Café around 15:30. What can I say? Don’t be fooled by her online journal. She may think she’s a scowling social cripple, but she’s actually intelligent, engaging, easygoing, and gorgeously attractive. Quite the most lovely computer scientist I’ve ever met. We watched That 70s Show, and then went on a wild restaurant chase.
